Have you been to "Coffee Ritual"??

08 July 2009 - TOday i was pretty ok, kinda went through a test and i guess it is an indication of growth if i can pass with flying colors. Before i introduce you to this special device let me just intro you the place i had dinner today, if you are firmiliar with sec 14 which is near JAYA 33 or digital mall then you will prob know there is one korean restaurant at the end of the road. This particular korean restaurant is run by a korean and the food is just delicius with close to 10 types of side dish (kim chi soup and claypot egg). If you are very into korean food, this place i do recommend as the ambiance is very comfortable for dinner. I have personnally ate here 4 times and each time i enjoy it very much as the food is very healthy and yummy, oh yes the name of the restaurant is called da chang ching which is the last shop on your left. Right after a great meal what more can you ask for if you could get a cup of warm and delicius coffee, well if you cant sleep after having coffee then better not take it. Me and my friend hop over to the coffee place right opposite to the korean restaurant name COFFEE RITUAL. THis place seems normal as it was pretty quiet when we went in at about 9pm, first impression was that this is just another normal coffee place untill i saw this.

This amazing thing is called a vacum coffee maker which sucks the hot boiling water from the bottom to the top and then when the brewing cycle is completed it leaks back down to the round bottom flask. Tadaa!!! within one minute i have prepare 3 cups of perfect tasting italian coffee.
Wanna try???

half boiled eggs

07 July 2009 - Ever wonder how to make yourself a perfect breakfast with toast bread and half boiled egg? I will share with you my secret about how i make my perfect half boiled egg every single time without fail. Ok here is the secret, if you normally take honey you will remember the big tub of honey which has a perfect size to fit about 4 eggs in it. THat is exactly what we are going to use.

Now there is a lil or simple re engineering and redesign of this honey tub is needed to make it work perfectly. step 1, get a very sharp knife and cut 2 lines about 2 cm long at the bottom of the tub to provide a small leakage hole for the boiling water to leak out and thats it.

PREP:
- Place 2 raw eggs in the redesign honey tub
- boil some water that will be enough to cover the eggs when poured into the tub
- once water is boiling with bubble, turn off the heat and pour the hot water in the honey tub
- wait for about 10 mins with a small glass bowl just large enough to cover the honey tub.
** there is two purpose of the glass bowl which is VERY VERY important, purpose 1 which is to trap the heat in the tub to boil the egg and purpose number two which is to heat up the bowl which will be later used for your 2 perfect eggs.
- Now if after 10 mins the egg is over or under cook, you will need to adjust the timing to get your perfect egg.
** 10 mins is a guide line as the 2 x 2 cm line cut by each individual is different, remember the end result of the water level reducing should be very slow

Well hope you enjoy this new egg cooking device. :)

Wedding Dinner in Eastin Hotel

04 July 2009 - It was a wonderful day with great joy for our lovely friend Kenny and ai Huey to get married on this very special day. We had a whole day of event since morning. We started of with meeting up to meet and pick up the bride in the morning where the Heng dai's was requested to do a simple exercise to burse the balloon. Right after picking up the bride i headed of for worship practice in the afternoon, although we only practice 2 times i was really glad that it went pretty well and the sound of both keyboard and guitar blend pretty well. Wedding dinner started about 8 and i must say the food served was pretty up to standard, the starter was 8/10 followed by a sharkfin soup which score about 8/10 as well. The fish serve was "Bak Sou Gong" and i must say for a wedding dinner the fish was rather impressively fresh and well done, I would give it a 9/10. The other food like the prawn, Crispy chicken, vegie and fried rice was ok and no complains. The dinner finished of at about 11pm, was rather late but the desert i must say was really yummy. They serve this YAm ice cream sago lou which tasted great. If any of you planning for a wedding in Eastin, i would say it is a good choice given it is in PJ which is quite central with not much Jam and the food is excelent overall.
